The 2018 Winter League Play recap

By Texas Elite 12/17/2018, 11:15am CST

We wrapped up the final League Play of 2018 with Winter League Play in Keller for all Divisions! Long day for all teams as we made up last weeks rain outs in the morning and finished off tournament play in the afternoon after brackets were seeded.  I must say that this League in particular I saw team improve dramatically each week. In fact two of the teams that ended up winning the League Championship were really in the middle of the pack 3 weeks ago but just kept playing and getting better each week.  So we want to say congrats to our Division Champions and runner ups, in our Bantam Division of 3rd&4th grade teams it was the 3 seed Ballers who ran through the bracket to take the Championship against a very good 1 seed Dragon White squad. In the Junior Division and a perfect record for the season it was the Ole Miss Rebs from Dallas as our Champions and Rocksolid 7v7 as our runner ups.  In the 7th grade Division it was the Rockwall Oilers as the 3 seed who clipped the 1 seed Havoc in a well played Championship game. Rockwall started the season 1-3 and ran the table after that slow start! In the 8th grade Division and the best game of the day it was NTX Elite as the 1 seed who beat the 2 seed Indians 23 at the gun in a game that had 3 lead changes in the last 90 seconds! In the JV Division it was Keller Indians 22 who completed the perfect Season and beat an up and coming Rocksolid 7v7 JV squad who really improved each week.

It was a great 6 week season and we enjoyed hosting your teams and families and hope to see you again in 2019!  Hope all of you guys have a Merry Christmas!  Special thanks to the City of Keller, Battle Sports Science, Rocksolid, The Quarterback Ranch and Zorts Sports! The 2018 Holiday Invitational Tournament recap

By Texas Elite 12/15/2018, 9:00pm CST

Yesterday we played the 6th annual Holiday Invitational Field in Bedford. A great day with for all teams and parents as we got incredibly lucky to get sun and 59 degrees. So with a great mix of new teams and long established teams here as how each Division played out. In the 4th grade Division it was last Summers State Championship Team in Dallas Nitro as our Champions but we saw a lot of new and talented teams especially St Marks Lions from Dallas who finished as our runner up in their very first event In our 6th grade Division it was another long time and multiple State Champion Winner in Dallas Tornados but they were challenged by a very good Elite United Team from Azle. Those boys could really play and will only get better in 2019. In the 7th grade Division it was the return of QBR as our Champions. QBR hadn't played together since last May and looked really good. Them abd our runner up Aledo Bearcats played a great Championship game and it went back and forth all game and QBR clipped them on the last series of the game 20-18. In the 8th grade Division it was the brand new PCA Lions as they were very strong and shocked a lot of teams yesterday as they finished as our Champions and the NTX Elite as our runner ups. That pool game between those two was one o the two best games of the day. In the HS Division we had some talented teams especially RTX as they finished as our runner up and are still very young with so many current freshman playing up but our Champions was the Midlothian Speed from Midlothian HS. This team has played together a long time and has everything you need in terms of experience, QB Play, excellent playmakers and great team chemistry.

Congrats to all our teams and thank you for bringing out your families to our event 10 days before Christmas for the last run of 2018. If you are in DFW up next for you is the 2019 Sunday League Play. A 5 week / 10 game League Play with some of the best competition in the State each Sunday.
